This cake was designed for the Helen Rollason Cancer Charity for an event they were taking part in. It was to be used as a raffle prize to contribute to their fund raising efforts.

They wanted to have something fun for the event so I decided to do an updated version of a Christmas themed cake I had made previously.

The cake was a rich fruit cake covered with marzipan and white fondant icing. I then measured the cake circumference and divided it into four equal sections. I cut four tree shapes from rolled out dark green fondant and attached them around the side of the cake.

I made small presents from various coloured fondant and placed them around the bottom of the cake on the cake board and in a pile on the top of the cake. I then piped tiny white dots all over the cake to look like snow.

The raffle was a great success and the charity were very happy with the cake.
